Recipe
Convert to ProRes
Convert video files to ProRes format.
Convert to ProRes is built for creating clean, edit-friendly mezzanine files that are easier to move between departments, review systems, and finishing steps. It is the kind of recipe you reach for when the source is technically usable, but you want a calmer, more production-friendly master to work from.
- Batch-convert supported video files to Apple ProRes.
- Choose the ProRes profile that best matches your balance of quality and file size.
- Optionally normalize the embedded audio track before export.
- Export to controlled folders with optional naming rules.
The recipe checks each source as a valid video file, measures the duration and frame rate, analyzes audio if normalization is enabled, and then renders the final ProRes output through ffmpeg. That makes it a practical fit for dailies prep, editorial handoff, approval masters, and mezzanine creation.
